As the headquarters of Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, Brandon Marsh is set across 220-acres and is the perfect place to visit on a summer’s day. If you love nothing more than pulling on your trainers and discovering the very best of nature, this is certainly an activity to remember. Around the orchard you’ll discover many impressive sites from bird watching hides and mini-beast homes to a newly designed sensory garden. There’s also an under-cover picnic area, so even if the British weather becomes unpredictable, you’ll have somewhere to shelter.

War Memorial Park

 

Looking after kids this summer? Then the War Memorial Park is somewhere to keep in mind. As Coventry’s premier park attracting around 400,000 visitors from all over the city and beyond every year, this is a popular destination and it’s easy to see why. There’s plenty to see and do for all ages with the park featuring a formal War Memorial garden as well as sports areas with playing fields and a Splash ‘n’ Play Park. There’s a 1.6-mile circular footpath around the park too should you fancy a stroll.

 

The War Memorial Park is now listed as a Grade II park by English Heritage and the War Memorial itself is listed as Grade II * by English Heritage.
