DID YOU KNOW?

Scientists believe they have found Dinosaur dandruff! Eurgh!

Little white flecks have been found between fossilised Microraptor feathers that are nearly 125 million years old. Dr McNamara, who worked on the fossils at University College Cork, believes the appearance of the dandruff was a response to the evolution of the newly feathered Microraptors during the Middle Jurassic period.

McNamara says “Until now we’ve had no evidence for how dinosaurs shed their skin.” But now, this evidence shows that Microraptors adapted to shed their skin in tiny flakes like humans do, rather than shedding their outer layer in one piece, like snakes!

Now we know why Orlando loves a good brushing!
