If you love dinosaurs, you might love getting dressed up as your favourite prehistoric beast and pretending you live in the Jurassic period. You might have even researched ‘dinosaur event near me’ to check out activities to enhance your knowledge. While there are great shows out there, such as Dinosaur World Live which explores these beasts in more detail, have you ever thought what kind of dinosaur you could be?
What Diet Do You Have?
When thinking about what sort of dinosaur is most like you, you could start by thinking about your diet. Are you a meat-eating carnivore like the ferocious Tyrannosaurus rex or are you a vegetarian like the gentler Brachiosaurus or Diplodocus? Perhaps you eat both meat and vegetables. In this case, you’re an omnivore like the small, feathered Oviraptor.
Are you sociable?
Next, think about whether you’re happiest hanging out with your friends and family or being by yourself. If you like to be surrounded by others, you’ll be the kind of dinosaur that lived in a herd. Think Brachiosaurus, Mussaurus or Protoceratops. If you prefer your own company, you’re more likely to be an Ankylosaurus, Stegosaurus, Allosaurus or Ceratosaurus. Like a balance between the two? Perhaps you’re a T. rex, Velociraptor or Deinonychus.
What Temperament Do You Have?
Are you adventurous? Do you like exploring new places? If so, you could be the human version of dinosaurs that like to explore diverse environments such as the Velociraptor. Known for its intelligence, this small theropod would explore their environment for delicious things to eat and would venture into different terrains. You could also be like the Triceratops who would roam across large areas to fend off predators and to search for food.
Alternatively, if you are a caring, tactile person who prefers to avoid trouble, you are more like Oviraptor. These feathered dinosaurs were birdlike animals that are thought to have been nurturing parents to their young and to have enjoyed contact with other members of their species.
If you don’t really like running and prefer to live life in the slow lane, then the Ankylosaurus or Stegosaurus, with their heavily armoured bodies, could be your spirit animal. These slow-moving dinosaurs preferred to stay in one area grazing on low lying vegetation.
Get the grumps fairly frequently? You could be an Allosaurus. These meat-eaters were fast and agile, but could be quite aggressive.
Quick summary
Let’s recap on the dinosaur you might be based on your diet, social habits and temperament:
Vegetarian, social, adventurous - Triceratops or Brachiosaurus.
Vegetarian, solitary, prefer life in the slow lane - Ankylosaurus or Stegosaurus.
Meat-eating, sometimes like company, energetic - Velociraptor or T. Rex.
Meat-eating, solitary, agile and sometimes argumentative - Allosaurus.
Perhaps you’re none of the above. If not, why not check out the Dinosaur World prices and book your tickets to find out more about the temperaments of some other dinosaurs?
